Showing the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite and the new Photoshop CS5 companion apps on the iPad in Kortrijk at the Multi-Mania keynote. Very cool event! The house was packed. Thanks to everyone who came and a special thank you to the organizers as well.

A couple of experimental images I created using Repoussé in Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended. The ability to extrude objects, distort them, have them cast shadows, and have it all rendered using Ray Tracing, is just phenomenal.

All of these were created using the Appearance Panel in Adobe Illustrator. Show me what you do with that feature!

I guess this screenshot taken yesterday is right to the point…

Why Rufus 2.5?

I created this new blog to gather all the little things that are too long for Twitter (140 characters) and which do not necessarily require a full blog post over at rufus.deuchler.net.

I think of myself as a designer, and that was my first profession [that would be Rufus version 1]. Later in in my career I ventured onto something completely different: Software Evangelism. My first tour of duty with Adobe was from ‘07 to ‘09, and that would be Rufus version 2. Now that I am offered the incredible opportunity to join Adobe for a second time, I call myself Rufus 2.5.

Adobecadabra!

This is the tweet to which I woke up to this morning. This of course made my day! I am so glad to be back at Adobe. It is a true honor.
